What is a running assessment?

  • During a 90-minute screening, we’ll assess the strength and mobility of the key muscles involved in running. After that, we’ll analyse your running efficiency on a treadmill using Runeasi technology.​​​​​

  • The Running Collective is the only place in New Zealand to offer this service!

 

How does it work?

  • Developed by the Belgian company Runeasi in collaboration with the University of Leuven, a wearable sensor measures your running efficiency. It tracks symmetry, dynamic stability, and impact loading as you run, providing a running efficiency score (0–100%) based on these parameters. With real-time biofeedback, we can check if certain cues improve your efficiency.

 

  • Based on these results as well as strength and mobility tests, we can determine the weak links in your body and design a personalised plan to improve them.

  • You'll walk away with a personalised home exercise plan.

 

  • I'll see you again after 6-8 weeks to check on your progress.

  • Testing is conducted at 24/7 Fitness (112 Kapiti Road, Paraparaumu) and takes 90 minutes.

  • What to bring:

    • Your running gear & running shoes

    • A towel

    • Something to drink​​

    • Your phone to film your home exercises
